Back End Sales on eBay

Most sellers on eBay do not know the concept or strategy of back end sales to boost their profit on eBay.
In a basic term, back end sales is a process where you as a seller offer a follow up product to your customer that purchases an item from you.
As an example, let say that you are selling women necklaces on eBay, once a person buys a necklace, you can offer to sell matching earrings to the person. By doing this, since the person has already purchased the necklace, she would be more keen to also purchase the matching earrings in order to have a complete set of the jewelry.

This strategy works no matter what you are selling on eBay. It can be implemented for any type of item. If you are selling cameras, you can offer its accessories as your back end sale. If you are selling shirts, you can offer matching pants. And the list goes on and on.
The question is - when is the best time for you to offer the back end offer to your customers?
The best time would be immediately after the initial purchase or you can offer it to your customers a few days or up to a week after the initial purchase. The main idea is to get the customer to purchase again from you since he or she is currently in a buying mood.
The next question is - how do you offer a back end product to your customers?
The best way is via email. Since once the eBay member makes the initial purchase, you will be able to get the buyers email straight from your eBay My Account area. It will be available in the Sold item area of your control panel. You can pick up the email from there and send a follow up email with your offer to them after that. Or another way is to just simply give the offer to them by sending them a message on eBay.
By utilizing this strategy you will not only increase your eBay income easily but will also build a strong customer base that will be a good source of income to you for years to come.
